Delivery & Shipping (Boxed Stock & CD Keys)

Type of purchase options:

At ZiiP, we offer 3 mains types of way to purchase your PC games. Which option you choose is down to you. Hopefully the following guide will help you make up your mind.

Our main 3 options are:


-> Brand New, Sealed Boxed Stock.

-> Brand New, Boxed Stock with the enclosed CD Key emailed early to you.

-> Digital Download key only. No physical box will be shipped.

 

What does all that mean? Allow me to explain.

For all our boxed stock, we use a range of UK and EU based distributors and sell official UK/EU stock. They cover nearly every publisher in the gaming market and we have a strong relationship which strives to get the best price and deals that we can.

Obviously, selling and sending you a sealed box speaks for itself. We send all our boxed games out same day if you complete your order before 3PM (Mon-Sat). We use Royal Mail 1st Class delivery with an aim, and a hope, that you'll get your game the next day. When you do, you open it, you install it and you play your game. Nice and simple.

So what are the other options?

These days, there are 2 major digital download platforms on the market. One is called Steam, the other Origin. Both offer a service where you can take the CD Key (or activation code) from the box of certain games which the publisher of each game has agreed to, enter the CD Key on their appropriate download system, and download the game.

Therefore, if we were to open the box and provide you with that code, you could play your game straight away after downloading it. Then, if you prefer, you could be sent your box, manual and disc later, just like you would have if you had purchased the game normally. This maybe an advantage to you if the game contains a particulary useful user manual, for example.

However, if you prefer, you could use the third option and just not bother with the box at all. We'll send you the CD Key from the box, staple the sleve of the manual to your invoice and put it in storage.

Depending on the game, we will either use codes that are supplied directly from the same boxed product that we sell, or when available, we will sometimes purchase download keys & activation codes from other reliable distributors from other countries.

Our buyers research and verfiy all sources for our downloadable products. We only buy REGION FREE stock that has all major available languages included with it.

If a game is region locked to outside the EU we WILL NOT SELL IT. We do not authorise, advise or encourage the use of any virtual networking (VPN) to bypass any DRM, regional locking or other barriers that are put in-place by Origin, Steam or any other major vendor.

 

- PRE-ORDERING GAMES

Any games that are pre-ordered will be dispatched as soon as we have stock from our distributors.

Generally, we'll attempt not to capture funds until the actual point of dispatch - This is to ensure that our stock has arrived correctly from our suppliers first. If there are found to be problems with any stock orders, we will cancel your order and not capture your money.

 

- ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON BOXED ITEMS

Delivery for UK Customers

We offer FREE delivery of boxed games to all UK mainland customers using Royal Mail's 1st Class delivery service. We provide an option in the checkout phase of your purchase to upgrade to Royal Mail's 1st Class Recorded service. This service will require you to sign for your item when it is delivered.
Delivery for European Customers

We use Royal Mail's Airmail service for delivering products to customers outside of the UK, but still within the European Union. Prices will update once you once you have registered on the site with your geographical location and accessed the checkout for the products you intend to purchase.

Delivery Costs

Generally, our delivery costs are charged per game. They usually fall into the following 3 categories:

UK - FREE
EU - £2.00
ROW - £4.00

Additional insurance is available on delivery, which will be shown on your payment page.

 

Boxed PC Stock

 

- DISPATCH TIMES FOR BOXED ITEMS

We aim to have items dispatched on the same day as long as all payment is cleared and any extra security checks have been completed. We have a cut off time of 3pm for any orders. Any orders placed after this time will be forfilled on the following working day.

UK 1st Class delivery has a delivery aim of 1 day (although this is not guaranteed) from day of dispatch. International delivery times are estimated at around 3 to 5 days, depending on your location and mail operators working at full functionality.

 

- PACKAGING

We use industry leading packaging to ensure that your purchases get to you in good order, whilst attempting to keep our costs and the overall purchase price down to minimum.

Mainline DVD Box

 

In 2012, we have started to utilise the Lil' Envelopes range, produced by Mainline Flatpacks - These are both an economical and environmentally friendly solution to our packaging needs.



- RECIEVING EARLY CD KEYS OR ACTIVATION CODES

When you opt to purchase a game or item where the code will be emailed to you, we have to run additional security checks to ensure that all our records match. Whilst details of what we check as confidential to our business, the more accurate the details you provide, the better.

 

Any checks can create delays to your order.

 

At the time of purchase, you can select the option to recieve your CD Key early via email. On pre-order games (games not yet released) we aim to issue codes as soon as we recieve our stock in. This is usually a day before release and gives you time to download the game via Steam or Origin (whichever is appropriate to the particular game).

With games that are not on pre-order (have been released) we will aim to get you your CD Key as soon as we process your order.

- I DO NOT REQUIRE A BOX. I JUST REQUIRE THE CODE.

If you do not want a boxed product, that is fine - When you chose to purchase your game, please select "DIGITAL DOWNLOAD ONLY" - Depending on the game, you will notice that there is a segnificant price reduction for just having the download code.

 

Steam Key

 

- I AM OUTSIDE THE UNITED KINGDOM. WILL MY GAME WORK IN MY COUNTRY?

There are some instances where a game is region locked to make it unavailable or un-usable in another country or region. There are 2 reasons for this. 1 is that certain countries have censorship laws that means only a censored version of the game is to be made available in that country. The other reason a game will be region locked is because software publishers place different pricing structures on their games depending on the region of the world they sell to. A game in Russia might be $15, whilst in Austrialia, it might be $50.

All our boxed games are sourced from UK/EU stockists and distributors. We occassionally source some games from outside the EU, but do so only from authorised suppliers. If you are purchasing a game and you are domiciled outside of the United Kingdom, you accept full responsiblity for being in a position to run it.

For more information on a particular game, please contact our support department. However, please note that region locking is sometimes only apparant once the game is released so information on unreleased games may be limited.

 

- MY ITEM HAS NOT BEEN DELIVERED! WHAT DO I DO?

Occassional, there are times where items get lost on route to customers. Such instances are very rare but we do have to accomodate them. Sometimes, items are not lost, but just delayed in the postal network.

Therefore, If you are in the UK, please wait 15 working days before contacting us in regard to a missing item. If you are in Europe and your item has not arrived, please wait 28 working days before contacting us. For the rest of the world, please wait 48 working days.


To claim against a lost item, we have a specific claim form that you will need to sign and send back to us. Then we can proceed to getting you a new game shipped out to you. Please contact our customer service team - gamestore@ziip.co.uk so you can provide information about the missing item.

 

- DELIVERY ADDRESS

Your shipping address must match your billing address for the initial 2 purchases you make with us. After that, a different delivery address can be specified from the billing address.

If you specify a different delivery address before 2 intital purchases, we will attempt to contact you and inform you. However, should we recieve no reply, we will ship to the invoice address as default.
